Hello, my name is Katie Baker. This is my twelfth year teaching and my fourth year at Masters Elementary. Before teaching at Masters, I taught at Belvedere Elementary for seven years and one year at Belmont Elementary for Lincoln Public Schools. I attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln for my Bachelor’s Degree in Education K-6. I look forward to getting my Masters soon.
I am married to my tech-loving husband, Ryan, and we have two beautiful daughters: Shay and Riley. Shay is fourteen years old and will be starting high school at Millard South. Riley is three and likes to spend her time coloring, going on walks, and playing outside. We spend a lot of time with our brand-new family member, Dusty. She is a fun loving, goofy Great Dane.
A few things I love are watching football on Saturdays, playing sand volleyball, traveling, listening to music, going to concerts, and teaching my students. A few things I like to do with my students is read a quarterly novel together (Crash is my favorite), cursive, and real-world math-based projects.
