Hello, my name is Alexis (Lexi) East. I am the Primary BSP teacher at Masters Elementary. I teach kindergarten - second grade curriculum and social/emotional skills. We do most of our learning through small-groups; curriculum is taught at my group and students rotate to two other groups to relearn strategies and concepts with two paras. We take brain breaks throughout the day where students can choose a variety of toys or games to relax their minds and bodies.
I recently graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University. I currently live in Lincoln and plan to move to Omaha before the start of the 2020-2021 school year. I have three dogs, a German short haired pointer, Pitski, and Maltipoo. They all love to play outside which is great because I enjoy long walks, yoga, and reading. I am excited to move to Omaha to be closer with the community and school! I love teaching special education and couldn’t be happier with Masters Elementary. Go Monarchs!
